A Yellow Kitchen

Hello Ladies & Gents!

It’s been a while since my last post, due to one thing or another I just haven’t gotten around to it, how rude of me! The blog is looking different to how it used to, and it might still change as I’m not 100% sure on how I feel about this layout. I’m also getting my own domain and I have an amazing designer working on a logo for me too! So it’s all been kind of behind the scenes stuff lately.

But anyhoo, on to the title! We recently decorated our kitchen, it was all very drab when we moved in and we were never sure what colour we wanted to go with, or if we wanted a theme, it was all very much in the air so we never actually did anything with it. And then I saw a Dulux paint colour called Butter Biscuit, which is a warm yellow-magnolia mix that wasn’t too strong, and I knew that’s what I wanted…that wasn’t what a I got, but I still love the change.

So what basically happened is that Mr T went to B&Q tp pick up the paint, they had run out of it so he spoke to a lovely lady at the mixing station who suggested a similar colour. He called and asked me, I said that was fine and he came home with this colour…

Which I am actually really pleased about! It’s such a rich colour I never would have picked it myself but I love it, I love how all the white cupboards pop out now, where as previously we were going to vinyl wrap them and now we don’t need to!

So lesson learned here: think outside the box, bold colours can work and try not to over think a theme or colour scheme too much.

Until next time my beauties! (I promise it won’t be as long next time!)
